Happy Birthday Mom

I've been gone a long time again. Partially because I was just plain busy but also partially because I have a lot of irrelevant stuff that belonged to Mom that I had to sort through. She kept everything as you probably know if you knew her. I get a lot of that from her but I've been doing better at that this last year.

Anyway, I will be back, I promise. There is a lot I want to share, but not right now.

Today I'm at work dealing with fires that, honestly, I could have probably solved last night (or safely ignored until tomorrow) but I was in a bad mood and I wanted to go out with Christine and Geoff and Allison. And it's a good day for me to be alone in the office. It's Mom's birthday today and I do kind of want some alone time.

We'll be washed and buried one day my girl

And the time we were given will be left for the world
The flesh that lived and loved will be eaten by plague
So let the memories be good for those who stay
